The biggest and most exciting cycling event in the world, for 3 days this summer the French Riviera will play host to the iconic Tour de France bicycle race. Starting in Nice on the 29th August, this year’s competitors will cycle through some of the Riviera’s most spectacular scenery before winding their way up through the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence to the pretty town of Sisteron for the next stage of the race.
Always a popular event, the 107th edition of the Tour de France promises to be an unforgettable race as the opening stages showcase the beautiful countryside of the French Riviera. “I’m American and I married my French husband in Ramatuelle in 2018.
My best piece of advice is if you are having a civil ceremony, try to
get your paperwork together as soon as possible, especially if you are
a foreign citizen. You may need to travel to your consulate or order
copies of your birth certificate from your home country before having
them translated into French. I didn’t wait until the last minute, but
I do wish I had started getting everything together earlier.”
