✨The beginning✨

Within the team at Native Spaces, we take immense pride in sharing an extraordinary journey that recently took us behind the scenes of the Rugby World Cup, alongside the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). This is a tale that commences with a shared passion for rugby, exceptional locales, and the celebration of local culture.

The BBC, an icon in the world of global media, embarked on a mission during the Rugby World Cup: to closely follow the Welsh national rugby team in each city hosting their matches. The objective of this initiative was to provide an immersive and comprehensive coverage of this competition that captures the hearts of rugby enthusiasts worldwide.

At the heart of this adventure, the BBC had a crucial need: to discover unique and iconic locations in each host city, ones that would embody the spirit and identity of these destinations. This is where Native Spaces made its entrance.

🌎Why did the BBC choose Native Spaces?🌎

The answer lies in our expertise in unearthing places that go beyond mere settings; places that tell a story and encapsulate the essence of a city. In this particular instance, the BBC sought a location in Nice to record a podcast, in an interview of Gareth Rhys Owen joined by Alex Cuthbert, Josh Navidi and Nicky Robinson. Highlighting the host city for the Welsh national rugby team.

Nice, a gem on the French Riviera, is a city where history, culture, and beauty seamlessly intertwine to create an unforgettable experience. Vibrantly colored facades, wrought iron balconies, narrow cobbled streets, Belle Époque buildings lining the famous Promenade des Anglais, and stunning sea views make Nice a place of timeless charm.

💚Native Spaces' Response💚

The challenge for Native Spaces was to find the perfect location that would encapsulate this essence of Nice and offer a captivating backdrop for the podcasts. After thorough research, we had the privilege of discovering an apartment with a terrace overlooking the port. This terrace provided a breathtaking panoramic view of the glistening waters of the port under the Mediterranean sun.

We were honored to be a part of this adventure, contributing to the innovative approach of the BBC in showcasing the beauty of each host city during the Rugby World Cup. This experience reiterated the significance of the diversity of places and their impact on storytelling.
